This is absolutely true. Kashmiri culture is immensely influenced by Irani culture. For Iran and Kashmiri both famous for their carpets (Qaleen Bafi'). Food such as Aab Goosht in Iran known as 'Ghoosht aaba' in Kashmir and also Shab Deeg is a famous Kashmiri dish. Allama Iqbal known as Iqbal Lahori in Iran used to call Kashmir ' Iran-e- Sagheer' i.e. little Iran.

Study the Rajataringini to know the real history of Kashmir till 12 Century A.D. Please do not manufacture history. Sikander was from the Shahmiri dynasty and the documented origins of this dynasty are totally different than what you mention. Besides they were not Turks. Earlier the mighty king of Kashmir Lalitaditya did a job on the Turks and Arabs..

The 12th Century A.D. excellent history of Kashmir informs us to what Kashmiris looked like. They had big eyes, sharp nose and were fair in colour. The fighting units like the Tantrins (soldiers in Sanskrit), etc., were very well built. Duels were not ucommon (to death) during many a time. For example the King Harsa of Kashmir as mentioned by the historian Kalhana was extremely handsome and very strong physically and mentally in his youth.

I do agree some enemies of Iran are trying to pitch Aryavarta against Iran. Indians respect Iranians and so do the Iranians India. However, remember Kashmir has been the head of Aryavarta and India today is a super power. Kashmir was also the headquarter of Sanskrit scholarship. An agenda exists (by foreigners) to pitch Aryan India against Aryan Iran. Both Rig Vedic Sanskrit and Avesthan Persian are very very similar. Modern Kashmiri does have some Arabic and little Central-Asian Persian (as the Mughals spoke Persian) but its base is very close only to Rig Vedic Sanskrit even now. Many of my Kashmiri Pandit friends speak Kashmiri (which I understand fully) which is very nearly the same as 14th century Kashmiri only similar to Rig Vedic Sanskrit. No Arabic in it.

You are making great errors in the history of Kashmir. islam came very late to Kashmir and according to the famous Al-Biruni the kashmiri kings decimated the forces of Mohd. of Ghazni several times.

salam do you know even the northern areas is part of kashmir, but the modern maps of Pakistan put it as northern state of pakistan. Even though it is really part of the greater kashmir. Like gilgit hunza, neelam valley. 

According to legend, Jammu was founded by Raja Jamboolochan in the 14th century BCE. During one of his hunting campaigns he reached the Tawi River where he saw a goat and a lion drinking water at the same place. The king was impressed and decided to set up a town after his name, Jamboo. With the passage of time, the name was corrupted and became "Jammu".

Shams-ud-Din Shah Mir was a ruler of Kashmir and the founder of the Shah Miri dynasty named after him. Jonaraja, in his Rajatarangini mentioned him as Sahamera.

He (Shams-ud-Din Shah Mir) came from Swat (Tribal) territory on the borders of Afganistan, Rinchana from Ladakh, and Lankar Chak from Dard territory near Gilgit came to Kashmir, and played a notable role in subsequentive political history of the valley. All the three men were granted Jagirs by the King Rinchan for 3 years became the ruler of Kashmir, Shah Mir was the first rular of Swati dynasty, which had established in 1339.

Pure Kashmiris are long gone killed or living an unknown life in differnt parts of India & abroad. Now all you are gonna find is arab, turk & mongol mix hindus converted muslims in today's Kashmir. No Kashmiri in Kashmir & POK is true Kashmiri anymore. 


Why worry about language when culture, tradition & spirit is already long gone ?
