Even though the "Festival of the Chariots" parade started in the rain, it later stopped raining to provide an excellent day for the festival. The parade lasted a couple hours, followed by the festivities at the main site with free prasadam food, and dancing, plays, and entertainment on the stage, plus a big "bouncy" for the kids, and other activities, including a gift shop, face painting and balloon figures for the kids, and other refreshments, plus close up darshan of the Deities of Lord Jagannatha, Lord Balarama and Lady Subhadra, for Whose pleasure the festival is held.
Everyone was invited, but if you missed it, you can always try next year, and watch the video to see the highlights of what you missed.
