1. Ornaments worn by women on the waist

According to the Hindu culture, like other ornaments, spiritual science explains the importance of wearing ornaments on the waist too.
2. Kamarbandha or katisutra (girdle)

A kamarbandha or katisutra is made of gold or silver. This ornament is also known as kamarkas, katisutra, katibandha or kasabandha. According to its formation, there are various types of this ornament. Various designs are engraved on it.
2.1 Importance of wearing a kamarbandha or katisutra

Wearing a katisutra assists in maintaining the dignity, modesty and purity of the woman.

Due to the katisutra, stimulation of desire is restrained. Due to the katisutra, the Manipur-chakra remains in an awakened state. This affects the Swadhishthan-chakra too and a restraint is created on its stimulation. As a result, the womanhood is protected from conduct arising out of self-will.

Due to the katisutra, the Divine Energy Principle (Shakti-tattva) remains in an awakened state. The waves of Energy of Will (Ichhashakti) remain concentrated in the katisutra. Due to the touch of these waves, the Raja component in the woman’s body functions in a balanced manner. As a result, the Divine Energy Principle (Shakti-tattva) in the woman’s body remains in an awakened state.

Due to the supply of Chaitanya to the seven chakras, there is constant flow of waves of Chaitanya in the body. The gold in the katisutra has the ability to absorb the Chaitanya present in the Universe. The katisutra also emits Chaitanya.

Due to the touch of the katisutra to the waist, and the friction caused by body movement, a protective sheath of Chaitanya is created upto a distance of one foot around the waist.

The Swadhishthan and Manipur-chakra, as well as the base of the vertebral column obtain continuous and higher proportion of benefit of Chaitanya. Due to the supply of Chaitanya to the base of the vertebral column, the other chakras in close proximity of the vertebral column, such as the Muladhar, Anahat and Vishuddha chakras also get a supply of Chaitanya.

With the supply of Chaitanya to these five chakras, the entire body of the woman gets charged with Chaitanya. This increases the efficiency of the chakras. This was why in earlier times, women used to wear a nine-yard sari and regularly wear a katisutra over it.

Acupressure healing takes place due to the katisutra. The katisutra rubs against the waist. Due to this action, pressure gets applied to the acupressure points on the waist. As a result, acupressure healing takes place on the woman who wears the katisutra.

Due to the katisutra, the black energy in the body gets destroyed and one is protected from negative energies. The katisutra touches the stomach and the waist. As a result, due to the sattvikata of the katisutra, the black energy collected in the cells in this region is destroyed. A protective sheath is created around the Swadhishthan-chakra, and the woman who wears it is protected from the attacks of negative energies.

The katisutra protects a woman from the Tama-dominant waves being emitted from the Hell region. Waves of Energy of Will (Ichhashakti) present in the Universe get concentrated in the katisutra. Due to these waves, the woman is protected from the Tama-dominant waves being emitted from the Hell region. Due to the katisutra, the most sensitive organs in the woman’s body, that is, the uterus, female reproductive passage etc. are protected from the distressing waves.

Katisutra worn by the Deities and its benefit to people: A Deity’s energy is emitted in large proportion and great speed from the Deity’s navel. Through the katisutra worn by a Deity, energy is emitted from the Deity’s navel and provided to the devotees who have come for the Deity’s vision (Darshan), as per their needs.
3. Mekhala or karadhani

This ornament is made of silver and is attached to the katisutra. Some women wear it without the katisutra.
3.1 Importance of the karadhani

Discharge of excreta-urine gives rise to Raja-Tama-dominant waves; these are destroyed by the karadhani. The function of the organs in the lower part of the body, like discharge of excreta-urine, gives rise to Raja-Tama-dominant waves. The Raja-Sattva-dominant waves emitted by the silver karadhani destroy these Raja-Tama-dominant waves.

Spiral created by the karadhani pushes away the Raja-Tama-dominant waves emanating from Hell region. Womanhood in the form of Shakti is located in the waist region. This womanhood is awakened by the touch of the Raja-dominant vibrations of the karadhani.

The five vital energies associated with the navel of the woman are activated and these revolve in the void in the waist region.

This rotation creates a spiral in the void in the waist region.

The leg movements attract the Raja-Tama-dominant vibrations of Hell region towards the woman’s body.

The spiral created in the void of the waist region pushes away the Raja-Tama-dominant vibrations.

In this way, wearing a karadhani protects a woman’s body. Her alertness too increases. Negative energies store black energy in the stomach, waist and the back of the women. The possibility of attack of negative energies on these areas is also higher. Due to the spiral created by the karadhani, the woman’s body is protected from such attacks.
3.2 Effects of karadhani worn by a woman
A flow of the Divine Principle and Divine consciousness (Chaitanya) is attracted to the karadhani and its spiral is created. It keeps revolving in an activated form.

Flow of Divine Energy (Shakti) is attracted to the karadhani and its spiral is created.

This spiral emits flows of Divine Energy into the environment.

At the same time, particles of Divine Energy spread in the body of the woman who wears the karadhani and her body is freed of black energy.

Spiritual experience upon wearing a karadhani: Upon wearing the karadhani, I felt good sensations in the waist region. The numbness in the body which was present before wearing the karadhani also reduced. The black energy in the spine and the neck reduced and I felt good sensations there too. The sensitivity of my mind began to increase. For some time, the subconscious impressions (sanskars) of my mind reduced and the mind became thoughtless. - Ms. Ranjana Gawas, Goa

The sattvik design of the karadhani worn by Ms. Ranjana gave rise to sattvik vibrations. This bestowed good spiritual experiences upon her. Apart from such benefits, wearing the karadhani enhances the maternal emotion and is maintained as long as the karadhani is worn.
4. Chhalla

This ornament is made of silver. Small bells are attached to it. As the woman walks, as a result of the contact of the chhalla with her body, the sound of its small bells and the woman’s movements create vibrations in the chhalla. These vibrations are activated and affect the woman.
4.1 Effects of wearing a chhalla
Chaitanya is attracted in a small proportion to the chhalla and its spiral is created.

A flow of Divine Energy (Shakti) is also attracted towards the chhalla and its spiral keeps revolving in an activated form.

A spiral of Shakti is also created in the hook of the chhalla. Flows of Shakti are emitted into the environment by this spiral.

Sound is created by the chhalla. This sound emits sound waves into the environment.

Particles of Shakti spread into the body of the woman who wears a chhalla and they revolve in an activated form.

Sound is created due to the speed with which the woman wearing a chhalla walks. Due to this sound, the negative energies in the environment attacking her body move away.

When a woman affected by negative energy wears a chhalla, the black energy in her stomach is destroyed.

Spiritual experience upon wearing a chhalla: One day in 2008, I wore a chhalla for an experiment. Upon wearing it, I felt a mild draft of air. The feel of the air was also not light as usual. At that time, the air was charged with the Sagun Principle of the Deity. That is why, its feel lingered for a longer time. I was experiencing the Divine Principle in that feel. At that time the black covering around me was dispelled and I experienced Bliss (Anand). When I felt the air again, I experienced that the Absolute Air element in the chhalla was activated. - A seeker.

The importance of wearing a chhalla is highlighted by this spiritual experience.
