Wikileaks expose about me is accurate: Modi
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the Wikileaks cables reported about him were accurate and speaks well of his stance against America's take on communal riots in Gujarat. In a cable dated November 2006, the US Consul-General in Mumbai, Michael S Owen described Modi as a 'no-nonsense, effective administrator who has reduced corruption in public life in Gujarat'. Reacting to the exposed cables about the U.S. reminding Modi of his role in failing to control riots in 2002, Modi said he clearly told America they 'cannot preach about human rights violations'.
