Creationism

AC,

A few points.

1. Ants do react when their colony is invaded – collectively they are goal seeking. Ant may be stupid, but ant colony is smart. `Read here for how ants perpetuate their genes through a process described by a concept called Haplodiploidy, though individually they are willing to sacrifice themselves for greater good.

2. Isn’t Earth part of the Cosmos?

I recall an exchange you had triggered some time ago on same subject wherein you had talked of :

“In a garden which has beautiful plants, bees, flowers, animals streams etc if one finds a ticking watch there what will one think about the watch,. Yeah, the watch is not part of the garden and somebody must has dropped it there.”

This idea was proposed long ago : “An English theologian William Paley, propounded in 1802 that if we were to find a pocket watch in a field, we would immediately infer that it was produced not by natural processes acting blindly but by a designing human intellect.“

This debate has been revived during the last three decades in USA by an orthodox wing of Republican party & goes under the name ‘Creationism’ - If there is a creation, there must be a creator. Even some scientists have rose in support of it albeit under a different name : ‘Intelligent Design”. Evolutionary biologists however contend that evolution itself is a sufficient mechanism to satisfactorily explain all the bio-diversity including the rise of Homo-Sapiens, who came to wonder about Cosmos & cosmic energy. There is no need to unnecessarily implicate God in all this.

Please read Designer Evolution? Or New Wine in Old ……….! for more on this.
